Research Statement
I am interested in the ways in which histories and theories of design and culture are presented and represented over time, including both image and text. I love writing and seeing my work in print.
I continue to work on the interdisciplinary history and contemporary significance of the Independent Group, acting as consultant curator, contributing author to exhibition catalogues internationally as well as edited collections. see www.independentgroup.org.uk
In looking at the overlooked, I use auto ethnography and feminist research methods as a guiding light.
I have worked extensively with archives, particularly those of the ICA, where I was Research Associate from 2010-2016.
